GENERATIONS DEEP STORY GROUPS
Generations Deep Story Groups are confidential, small group experiences (no more than 6 participants per group) facilitated by Gina Birkemeier, LPC, author of Generations Deep and Generations Deep: Write Your Healing Story and co-facilitated by other clinically trained, trauma-informed, faith-informed, licensed, professional therapists. These groups are designed to help you go deeper in exploring your story and the stories of the generations before you, while providing educational and practical experiences in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Generations Deep Story Groups employ faith and therapy to help you discover how your beliefs and behaviors are influenced by the emotional health and behaviors of those who cared for you in your family of origin, which was impacted by those who cared for them, and so on. This impacts the way you see yourself, others, the world around you and even God. Often, in more ways than you may realize.
Generations Deep is facilitated by mental health professionals who understand the power of story and generational impact from both a professional and personal perspective. Our therapists take a holistic approach, recognizing the importance your mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing and incorporating effective practices from a variety of counseling therapies, story work, principles from spiritual disciplines, and somatic work along with other experiential and practical components.
